You"ve probably heard of gardens decorated with old tyres. They"re very popular in Eastern Europe, but I"ve also seen them in countries such as Germany or Sweden. You"ve probably also heard of rubber furniture. And statues made of old or unused rubber wheels. But perhaps you know that there are much easier ways of reusing old tyres. If you have kids, you know what I"m taking about. Actually, you don"t have to be a parent at all. You don"t even have to be an older sister or brother. It"s enough that you were once a child yourself. Do you remember the games that we used to make up? I guess we were much more imaginative than kids nowadays. It"s quite simple. We didn"t have computers. We didn"t have games and expensive toys. We had to manage on our own. I remember that my cousins and I used our uncle"s old motorcycle tyres. We played them in the backyard, pretending they"re spaceships. Or rolled them from one fence to another, making races and pretending we"re fighting against each other. I must say we had a fantastic childhood. We were never bored and we were always physically fit, unlike most kids nowadays. If you have your own child, why not show him or her that sitting in front of the computer screen is not the only way to spend a Saturday afternoon?
