After ten years of working as a high school PE teacher no one was surprised when I announced that I wanted to change my profession. Im not saying that being a teacher is a bad occupation, it just wasnt a job for me. In fact for me it was a nightmare. Although Im a tall, well-build man, I found it difficult to deal with a bunch of spoilt teenagers. My family and friends had been telling me to look for another job for all these years and I finally decided to have a go. I started to consider the options that I had and I couldnt think of any reasonable idea. That was when my wife told me about a driving instructor training that was to start in two weeks. Without much thinking I knew that this was something for me. I had had an experience in teaching and one student would be much easier to deal with than the whole class. The course wasnt cheap but I decided that it was a great investment in my professional development. After Id filled in the application form and collected all the necessary medical certificates I handed in my resignation to the school principal. A week later my driving instructor course began and there was no way back. Now Ive been working as a driving instructor for three years and I can tell that the change of my profession was the best decision in my life.
